El jueves (9.10.2014)

¡Feliz jueves, estudiantes!  Hoy es el nueve de octobre y hace buen tiempo.  Hace sol.

You all did a great job with your presentational writing task today.  I am super proud of how much Spanish you are learning!  Keep up the good work.  ¡Bien hecho!

The learning goal for our presentational writing task is:
  • NL.COD.3
    • Use single words and simple memorized words and phrases to present information
    • My name is, I am from, my likes & dislikes (activities)
Tomorrow I will have a short conversation with each of you. The learning goal for this interpersonal communication task is:
  • NL.COD.1
    • Carry out simple exchanges of information using memorized vocabulary
We generated a list of questions and responses that we already know and found we can have a pretty great conversation in Spanish already!  ¡Hurra!

  • Buenos días Good morning, Buenas tardes Good afternoon, Buenas noches Goodnight
2.  ¿Cómo estás?  How are you?
  • Estoy bien.  I am well.  Estoy regular.  I am okay.
3.  ¿Cómo te llamas?  What is your name?
  • Me llamo.........My name is
  • Mi nombre es......My name is
4.  ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?  When is your birthday?
  • Mi cumpleaños es el catorce *14* de diciembre.  My birthday is December 14th.
5.  ¿Cuántos años tienes?  How old are you?

  • Tengo 14 (15) (16) (17) años.  I am 14, 15, 16 or 18 years old.

6.  ¿De dónde eres?  Where are you from?
  • Soy de........(Bozeman) (New York)  I am from......
7.  ¿Qué te gusta hacer?  What do you like to do?
  • Me gusta......... I like to
  • No me gusta....I don't like to
WOW!  That's a lot of information in Spanish that we know how to exchange.  Tomorrow we will practice this in class and then you each get an opportunity to speak with Profa.
